The Coronation! Feb 12th, 2005


7 Red Hatters ( counting the me) gathered at IHOP in CDA for the long awaited coronation

much to my surprise I was presented with gifts! grin
a neat red hat keychain from Betty, and this cool cup from Virginia
*note... there is even a little doggy that looks a lot like gizmo riding on the back of the bike!

no these are NOT my false teeth... mine dont look that good!

those who were eating ordered their food and a short fun ceremony was enacted. I was given my royal ruby rose scepter, jewels of the realm and queens tiara accompanied by a chorus of the Imperial margerine ta da da da on the kazoo... Following this I proclaimed my goals as queen ( tongue in cheek of course) followed by the first Royal proclamation that the coin of the realm shall be chocolate chip cookies.

Then a door prize ticket was drawn and our newest member Carol won the red hat bracelet.

when the food and frolics were over several of us did our usual pilgrimage to the local thrift shops and everyone who went came home with something purple
